Showtime!

I think it's about time i updated my blog! After a rather extensive period of inactivity, i'm pleased to announce that i'm back in the saddle - so expect updates! There's been a lot going on recently, and without a doubt the most exciting event of late has been the degree show.

The show kicked off in Brighton during the first week of June, and has now moved on to the Rag Factory on Henage Street (just off Brick Lane) and is open to the public every day from 10am - 8pm until Mon 6th July.

The picture above was taken at the private view for the Brighton show on the 2nd June - that's me and my mum standing by my exhibition space!

Within the last few days i've created a coming soon page for my website, which is under construction at the moment. Hopefully it'll be live very soon, so keep checking back!

I thought that everyone might benefit from knowing... the truth about jam! It's from an old magazine that i picked up at Brighton's Sunday carboot sale. It cracks me up. Especially the part about 'mystery jams' - I think we should all take heed, and go on some sort of jam crusade. Demand purer jam!

Welcome to my new blog, Jolly Good Show! After weeks of deliberation, i finally decided on a blog name. Heaven knows what i'll be like if i ever have children, - chances are they could be 'baby' for quite a while! I've just discovered how to post an image, so without further ado i present... 'She's got her head in the clouds, that girl...' -

and 'Good as Gold'

The latter is a banner which I've made to represent my Etsy shop, goodasgold.etsy.com - The idea is that all of the jewellery that i create for the shop will be made of various materials including vintage beads, which have no intrinsic value but which are as good as gold. Get it? Of course you do! I may make other banners to choose from, so let me know what you think!
